An exceptional vintage Mikimoto pearl and diamond ring crafted in substantial 18K yellow gold, featuring a luminous approximately 8mm Akoya cultured pearl set above an elegant sculptural bow or ribbon design.

The pearl sits prominently above the center of the ring and displays the beautiful luster for which Mikimoto is celebrated, with a creamy white body color and subtle silvery-to-rose overtones that shift beautifully in different lighting.

The 18K yellow gold mounting is especially striking. Rather than a traditional solitaire setting, the gold sweeps around the pearl like a beautifully tied ribbon, with polished dimensional folds and approximately 0.24 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds set along either side. The diamonds are estimated at approximately G–H color and VS clarity, giving the ring just enough sparkle without competing with the pearl.

At approximately 9 grams, this is also a wonderfully substantial Mikimoto piece. The weight and sculptural construction give it a presence on the hand that is very different from the more delicate pearl rings typically seen today.

The interior is signed with the Mikimoto maker’s mark and K18 gold hallmark.
